Hi all, this is the result after dressing the male model. (Actually I think he looks like an ancient superman...)
Dressing up the female has met some problems because it always look weird around her chest. The model is in good and normal shape, but after dressing her and to cover her chest, that part of costume becomes extremely large...
BTW, I will upload the model to dropbox. So Adam if you can check and any feedback is more than welcome.
Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Hi Dio,
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! He does look like an ancient superhero. I think the armslits on the side are too big and round. The garment is pretty much a rectangle so there's no shaping there. But that's something Carly and I can help you with tomorrow.

Good progress, but we really should sit down with you while you work on this. The arm holes should be more like slits and both the tunic and mantle should be wider, and maybe the mantle should be a little shorter.

I agree with Carly, the mantle should be a little shorter and less cape-like. In Guaman Poma's drawings he has the end of the mantle come to a point, not sure how this is possible or if it's just a stylistic preference for him. For now if the mantle just draped the shoulders it would give us an idea of how to better it. The knot that it's tied into right now is too elaborate for the moment, maybe we could look at the examples you used.

Okay, I got it. I will revise the model tonight and let's work it out tomorrow.
